Green Named THSCA Basketball Coach of the Year
Beaumont United (BU) High School Boys Head Basketball Coach David Green Jr. became the first recipient of the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Basketball Coach of the Year award in a ceremony held Tuesday, May 22, 2023, in the main gymnasium of Beaumont United. THSCA Executive Director Joe Martin presented Green with a plaque before an audience that included Beaumont ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Shannon Allen, BU faculty and staff, students and players from the BU boys basketball team who were the State 6A Runner Up this basketball season.
