• Welcome from the Administrators

  • Dear Student/Parent/Guardians:

The Beaumont Independent School District’s Elementary School Discipline Alternative Program (DAEP) is an educational environment for students whose behavior has seriously or persistently violated the Student Code of Conduct.

The primary focus of the elementary DAEP isn’t punitive, it's restorative. Therefore, we must collaborate with home campuses and families to build capacity for personal growth within a positive, stimulating, and structured environment.  Our purpose is to nurture innovative behavior reform and build behavioral foundations in students which will produce success in elementary experiences and later in secondary experiences.

The purpose is to focus on innovative behavior reform, best practice personalized/blended instructional models, and collaborative social and emotional interventions for the students and families we serve. We hope to offer an opportunity to replace those undesirable behaviors with desirable behaviors with the assistance of a highly professional and capable staff who can offer, for a moment in time in the student’s educational career, highly focused individualized attention.  We hope to provide guidance, motivation, and tools for all inappropriate behaviors that can be modified through self-control, individual responsibility, and respect for self and others.

Your child’s successful completion of this assignment is contingent upon following the parameters of the following documents.  The Administrators at Beaumont ISD’s Elementary DAEP are Mrs. Rachiel Guidry, Administrator, and Mrs. Verald Boseman, Behavior Interventions Specialist.  Please feel free to contact us at any time with questions or concerns.

We want your child to be successful in our school and while they are here we encourage collaboration to make this happen.

    Sincerely,

    Rachiel Guidry, Administrator
